Biography

Originally from London and Toronto, Ontario Leila has made Calgary her home for over 20 years. She has performed many pieces from spiritual, folk, popular, musical theatre, light opera and dramatic opera genres. She has won awards in Calgary’s Kiwanis music festival for light opera (2000) and has had numerous accolades for her performances in liturgical and non liturgical settings.

Her vocal expertise comes from extensive training through the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto) and Trinity College (London ,England) Examinations .She has studied in England for a summer music workshop (The Summer Music Summer School at Wellington college, Berkshire, U.K) She is a private singing instructor and has had students win in the musical theatre category at the Kiwanis Festival here in Calgary.

Ms. Keith currently owns and operates Leila Keith Studios, bringing music therapy of old songs to dementia patients and also teaches privately. She is a past member of the Calgary Society for Independent Film and has two videos and one short 35 mm film to her credit.

She loves all aspects of the arts yet  performing and teaching are her passions.
